Botox and Dermal Fillers...
Not only are we passionate about your smile at Haxby Family Dental but we are also passionate by the overall facial look.
Looking fresh and maintaining your youthful look can be helped along with simple procedures available to us.
Treatments are non-surgical and are short in-house procedures.
Why at a dental practice you may ask…?
Why not we say…!
As dental surgeons we undergo 5–6 years basic training in studying the head and neck and related systems. We have an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the head and neck and have the necessary medical background knowledge to support this. Along with this we are surgically trained and what is more we have the ability to safely use topical and local anaesthetics where this is required and as you know, we are very skilled when it comes to injection techniques!
We also have the appropriate clinical conditions for carrying out these clinical procedures and we are registered with IHAS and the Care Quality Commission.
We are able to carry out the procedures in both our sites, you could pop by in your lunch hours or we have ground floor facilities and parking at our Haxby site if this works better.
Botox is a highly popular method of softening facial expression lines and making you look more refreshed. Crease lines and wrinkles are a natural maturing process caused by a combination of ageing, sun damage, gravity and the everyday motions of laughing, talking, frowning and crying.
Botox works by relaxing the tiny facial muscles which create these expression lines. This means the muscles no longer contract so the overlaying skin stays smooth and crease free. The result is more serene and youthful look.
The results last around 3-6mths before repeat treatments are required.
Non surgical facial aesthetics basically involves injections of either a filler or volumiser which does just that… fills out and if required increases the volume in a particular area.
Providing you are healthy and carry out the appropriate after care there are very few complications.
We have also undertaken post graduate studies with reputable trainers and ongoing training in the products that we use.
Our main products are Allergan or Juvederm dependant on the relevant circumstances.
We have used a number of different dermal fillers in the practice and find that the products we choose to use gives not only the final look that we aim for but the best in the handling of the products available.
They are smooth and easily injected and what is more a local anaesthetic is incorporated into them so there is less need for additional local anaesthetic injections.
All filler products used can be used for virtually every situation where a non-permanent, non-surgical dermal filler is required.
